Is Myofunctional Therapy Right for You?

Myofunctional therapy is a holistic therapy for people who are experiencing multiple symptoms that seem unrelated, but are often connected by how the airway, breathing patterns, and oral muscles are functioning together.

I work with adults who are motivated to improve their health—people who want more than symptom management and are willing to invest the time, effort, and commitment required to create real change. This work isn’t passive. It’s for those who are ready to participate, practice, and stay consistent.

Many of the people I support have had individual symptoms addressed separately— sleep issues, snoring, jaw tension, mouth breathing, orthodontic concerns—without anyone stepping back to look at the whole system. When breathing, oral habits, and muscle function aren’t working in harmony, the body compensates, and symptoms show up in different ways.

Adults often come to me experiencing:

  • Snoring or restless, non-restorative sleep
  • Chronic fatigue, low energy, or brain fog
  • Chronic mouth breathing or persistent nasal congestion
  • Jaw tension, clenching, grinding, or TMJ discomfort
  • Tongue-tie or restricted tongue mobility that was never addressed
  • Suspected airway issues or sleep-disordered breathing
  • Orthodontic relapse or unsuccessful orthodontic treatment

Can Myofunctional Therapy Help You?

Check “Yes” if you currently experience any of the following:
If you checked 3 or more “Yes” responses, your symptoms may be connected to airway function, breathing patterns, and oral muscle coordination.

Proper Swallowing

I help adults correct dysfunctional swallowing patterns, including tongue thrust, that may contribute to jaw strain, teeth movement, TMJ discomfort, acid reflux, and GERD symptoms. Functional swallowing supports long-term oral stability and digestive comfort.

Sleep & Airway Health

I support improved sleep and airway health by addressing breathing patterns that contribute to snoring, mild sleep apnea, restless sleep, and daytime fatigue. Optimizing oral muscle function can promote deeper, more restorative sleep and better daily focus.

Tongue Rest Posture

I guide adults in developing proper tongue posture to support jaw alignment, improve airway function, and reduce tension. Healthy tongue positioning contributes to better breathing, improved sleep, and less stress-related muscle strain.

Nasal Breathing & Lip Seal

I help adults retrain consistent nasal breathing and establish a natural lip seal to reduce mouth breathing, improve oxygen intake, and support better sleep and daytime energy. Healthy breathing patterns are foundational to long-term airway function and overall well-being.
